Music Ministry

About Our Music Ministry

  • Short history:
  • The Music Ministry at St. Leo’s has been a large form of St. Leo Parish’s prayer for decades. With its humble beginnings, the Music Ministry evolved alongside each generation. Currently, we have over 30 different music ministers of all talents.
  • What it means to be a music minister:
  • Anyone that is musically motivated and would like to be more involved in meaningful prayer through music is welcome to join the Music Ministry. Music ministers are leaders who guide the congregation’s worship at regular masses & special holiday masses, such as Christmas and Easter. Musicians of all kinds – vocalists, pianists, other instrumentalists, and more – are always welcome to participate in our Music Ministry.
  • What it looks like:
  • Music ministers will have the opportunity to regularly lead worship through music at the following masses:
  • Saturday 5:00 p.m.
  • Sunday 10:00 a.m.
  • Sunday 12:00 Noon
  • Sunday 5:30 p.m.
  • Please consider joining our Music Ministry community as a soloist, instrumentalist, or chorister. If you are interested in joining at any time, please contact the Music Director.

Children’s & Youth Choir

  • About:
  • Children (7-12 years old) and youth (teens to early twenties) join together to sing in sweet harmony regularly and for special masses.
  • Similarly, St. Leo’s works with St. Pius X to hold family masses a few times a year. Students from different classes and age ranges attend the Sunday 5:30 p.m. mass with their families & friends to celebrate God together.
  • All musically inclined and interested young parishioners are encouraged to join our Youth Choir at any time. Please reach out to the Music Director for more information and inquiries.
