Liturgical Catechesis: Learning More About the Mass
What we say at Mass is going to change a little. Because of that, we will have to take the time to relearn some of the prayers we have been saying for many years. Here at St. Leo's, we are going to use this opportunity to take a deeper look at exactly WHAT it is we are praying, and WHY.
You are invited to join us as we embark on a new journey in discovering the depth of meaning behind celebrating the Eucharist week to week, day to day, and how this "work of the people" (definition of Liturgy) empowers us to take part in the mission (definition of Mass) that our Baptismal Promise calls us to: to be priest, prophet, and king in in this world... OR... to be disciples of Christ (definition of Christian) who work to be a light in this world and bring others into this special family of God (definition of Church).
There will be many opportunities to learn more about the Mass. Below you will find just a few. You can also read "Tid-Bits" of information on the Mass under the "Liturgy Corner" column of the Bulletin each week.
