The St. Leo Parish baptism program, consists of one preparation session required after the child's birth, but prior to baptism. Information presented includes sacramental preparation as well as information on child temperament, adjusting to parenthood, and family spirituality. The preparation sessions are facilitated by trained couples of St. Leo Parish.
Both parents are encouraged to participate, whether Catholic or not. Babysitting is available upon request.
After attending a Sunday morning instruction session, the baptisms are celebrated at a Mass during the following weekend. Private baptisms also require completion of the preparation classes.
